Hi,
I’m Jon Durant and this site is a collection of my thoughts and experiences from 25 years in IT and Architecture.
I specialise in Technology Leadership, defining IT strategies and architectures that connect people and processes to pragmatic technology solutions, and in translating “tech speak” into every day language. I do this by working closely with all stakeholders across an organisation to bring about common understanding, foster collaboration, share ideas, common needs & problems, and bring about meaningful changes.
A lifetime in IT and Enterprise Architecture means “boxes and lines” were my daily currency, but as the saying goes – “a picture tells a thousand words” – I communicate deep technical problems and solutions using creative visuals that make the topic accessible to everyone. Many IT problems are referred to as “a tangled mess of spaghetti” and I endeavour to bring some order to that chaos – hence the name of this website.
I’m known for eschewing the plain shirt and tie combo in favour of something from my collection of printed shirts. I’m also a husband, father, and runner and strive to be good at all of those whilst simultaneously juggling those roles!
